After 3 and a half years of work, we are delighted to announce the successful completion of the SPHERE project, on Thursday February 06, 2025, at our Saint-Cloud premises, alongside our partners ASB Aerospatiale Batteries and SilMach, and the DGA – Direction Générale de l’Armement.
This project, supported by AID RAPID subsidy, has resulted in the development of a thermal battery system to restart helicopter turbines in flight in the event of engine damage (ASB works). Several innovative acceleration measurement systems have also been developed, making this system suitable for use on both military and civil helicopters (SilMach works). AVNIR Engineering led the project management and resolved the integration challenges of the various systems on board the helicopter.
